Day 2 of Fall!  I do love this time of year, even though it doesn't seem to love me.  Anyone else battling the changing weather allergies?  Ugh!  However, I'll take it just so we can have the cooler weather.  I love getting up early in the morning and stepping outside with the need to feel all bundled up.  It may warm up some during the day, but the coolness of the morning air is very invigorating.  Who needs coffee?  Just give me good, cool, country air.
 
Since today is Sunday and typically our day to "rest" and get caught up for the week, I am going to share with you a link to another crafty lady's blog.  Red Couch Recipes.  Every year around this time she brings out the ever clever Zoulah to assist with her Halloween decor and scrumptious treats.
 
Red Couch Recipes is a very fun blog to follow along with.  She has some of the most fascinating and elegant table settings that I have ever seen, yet they are very simple to set up and affordable.  She really has a talent for decor.  Plus she makes and shares recipes of some very sweet treats fit for any occasion.

Last year I started a series of 100 Days of Holidays and Inspiration and had a lot of fun with it.  I was really hoping to do one again this year, but, I am 12 weeks away from my due date (baby #3!) and I do not feel that I would be able to fulfill my duties of posting to it on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis.  As you can tell, I've been rather scarce around here this year as it is.  This pregnancy has had a few complications along the way, but everything is looking really good right now.  I've been trying to maintain my focus on keeping myself healthy and preparing for childbirth. Planning an Organized Home - Part 1 - Chore Charts

I started a post on this a few weeks ago and started getting so far in to it that it was looking more like a book than a post.  So, I decided to break it down in to a mini series called: Planning an Organized Home It's a short, six part series that I want to share with you on how I started to get our home organized and in a better routine than we have had in the past.  The more routine, the less whining "why do we have to??".  It becomes a part of every day life for every one in the house. The first thing I worked on were chore charts: one for the kids and one for the parents.  While I have a pretty good routine for my own household chores, having it in writing and staring me down keeps me from falling off track so much.  I searched online for different printable and customizable charts, and ended up finding some pre-loaded with my ancient laptop under Microsoft Works.  If you have Microsoft Excel or Word, you can do the same thing.  I attempted ...

Organized Home: Spring Cleaning

This week we welcome spring!  Depending on where you live, that may sound like a joke.  We had spring like weather this weekend, but this week we will drop back to freezing temps at night, and not much better during the day.  I think spring did a little too much springing forward last weekend.  😏 However, our spring break is coming up soon and what better time to do some spring cleaning?  For those of you that do not get a "spring break", have no fear: I have a plan for you as well.  Trying to make that spring cleaning list can seem so endless that you don't know where to begin, or if you even want to.  I always make a list that is unrealistic.  Like there is no way I can do everything possible on my list, and it just stays a list for months and months, until I finally give up and throw it away. Not this year. I have decided to simplify my list.  Well, simplify it after I have made that big, long, never-going-to-get-it-all-done-list....
