Manic Monday and Free Blog Design

I'm still here!  It's been a hectic couple of weeks and I fell of the blogger wagon.  I know I'm not the only one, some of my favorite blogger moms have been MIA as well!

This past week got away from me in a hurry.  I had two complete custom orders to make and I've been consumed with working on my graphics (notice the new design?).  I was able to get free backgrounds and banners from The Cutest Blog on the Block.  They have some really nice graphics, backgrounds, and buttons that are very easy to use.

I also wanted to update my Etsy shop and unfortunately have not been able to locate any free graphics.  I have found numerous people who will create designs for you, but it can get a little pricey if you do everything at once.  I chose to break mine down a little at a time.  I really can't decide on my own personal logo yet so I honestly hated to invest much in to it.  Then I found G3Graphics on Etsy.  She has a bunch of different pre-made designs that are really pretty.  For now, I purchased a small set (only $8) for my Etsy avatar, store banner and reserved graphic.  She added my store name and tagline to them and they are fantastic.

Just a little catch up today on my crazy life but I plan to be back full swing asap!  What can I say, it's that thing called life!

100 Days of Holiday Inspiration 2013

Last year I started a series of 100 Days of Holidays and Inspiration and had a lot of fun with it.  I was really hoping to do one again this year, but, I am 12 weeks away from my due date (baby #3!) and I do not feel that I would be able to fulfill my duties of posting to it on a daily, weekly, or even monthly basis.  As you can tell, I've been rather scarce around here this year as it is.  This pregnancy has had a few complications along the way, but everything is looking really good right now.  I've been trying to maintain my focus on keeping myself healthy and preparing for childbirth. Planning an Organized Home - Part 1 - Chore Charts

I started a post on this a few weeks ago and started getting so far in to it that it was looking more like a book than a post.  So, I decided to break it down in to a mini series called: Planning an Organized Home It's a short, six part series that I want to share with you on how I started to get our home organized and in a better routine than we have had in the past.  The more routine, the less whining "why do we have to??".  It becomes a part of every day life for every one in the house. Organized Home: Spring Cleaning

This week we welcome spring!  Depending on where you live, that may sound like a joke.  We had spring like weather this weekend, but this week we will drop back to freezing temps at night, and not much better during the day.  I think spring did a little too much springing forward last weekend.  😏 However, our spring break is coming up soon and what better time to do some spring cleaning?  For those of you that do not get a "spring break", have no fear: I have a plan for you as well.  Trying to make that spring cleaning list can seem so endless that you don't know where to begin, or if you even want to.  I always make a list that is unrealistic.  Like there is no way I can do everything possible on my list, and it just stays a list for months and months, until I finally give up and throw it away. Not this year. I have decided to simplify my list.  Well, simplify it after I have made that big, long, never-going-to-get-it-all-done-list.  This is what I added to my H
